BIL had two Coopers which were awesome, in looks, smoothness and accuracy. He ended up selling and replacing with HS Precisions though. If Cooper made their Excalibur in lefty, I'd definitely have one in my safe. Looks like they now have their Backcountry in lefty and Timberline lefty in the works so will check those out.

Accuracy wise, both will shoot! But that's as far as the simularities go. Build quality definitely goes to Tikka! As does smoothness of running the action. I guess it boils down to this. Out of the box, Tikka's are really nice rifles that you don't have or want to do many modifications to. Savage is a more rough building block.

Cerakote can smooth things up a bit along with taking up some slop. They also make micro slick which for coating bolts. More expensive resort, you could get your bolt and head nitrided Best option if you are picky about action smoothness, sell it and buy a custom.
