Member Academies ACOLA is established to benefit Australia by developing and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, research and scholarship in humanities and the arts, social sciences, natural and physical sciences, and technological and engineering sciences to address issues of national and regional importance utilising the expertise of Australia's Learned Academies.

Research priorities ACOLA has identified four priority areas of national importance where interdisciplinary research can most effectively inform policy, innovation and long-term societal outcomes. ACOLA took an evidence-based approach to this project to explore the context and adequacy of training about disability in Australia. Reflecting concerns of people with disability, we paid particular attention to occupations within education, healthcare, justice and social services sectors.
